Thanks so much to Tracy Grinstead-Everly and Elva Mendoza for leading our lively discussion last night on gun sense, the gun violence epidemic, legislative policies, and more. We always have such a good time, despite the serious topic. Thanks to Patti Tauber for organizing our evening and all our terrific programming this year! Below are ways to get involved, if you missed their presentation.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED WITH GUN SENSE!
Join the Austin Moms Demand Action team
We need volunteers to make targeted calls to Texas lawmakers, meet with lawmakers, plan events, do community outreach, provide Be SMART presentations, design flyers, staff information tables, write letters to editors, get involved in elections work, plan our Lobby Day, and more. Even if you have only an hour a month, we can use you!
Email me with your name, email address, and cell number, and I’ll sign you up! We have a local facebook page where we keep everyone updated with information and calls to action, so feel free to send your Facebook profile name too. Email here.
Come celebrate with us
RSVP to our next meeting here, which is a party celebrating the 5-year anniversary of our founding.
